Retired Archbishop Dr. David Gitari is a man remembered by many Kenyans for his devotion to fight for a second liberation in the country. during former President Daniel Arap Moi's regime.
As the debate on the new constitution rages on, Gitari now says there is nothing to debate about over the issue of abortion because according to him the life of everyone, including the unborn must be protected.
On the issue of kadhi courts, the retired bishop says no religion in the country should be given more priority than the other.
"If Christians have no religious courts, then muslims should have none" he said.
He is now cautioning the political class that the issues must be handled with care or else Kenyans may not get a new constitution they have been yearning for the last twenty years. Comments (0) |
