Guide to KUCCPS Admission Letters: How to Obtain Your Placement Letters

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) oversees the placement of qualified students into universities, colleges, and training institutions across Kenya.

Once placements are finalized, students must download their official admission letters to enroll in their respective institutions.

To start the process, log into the KUCCPS student portal using your KCSE index number and the year you took your exams. The default password will either be your birth certificate number or your KCPE index number. After logging in, navigate to the “Admission Letter” section of the portal.

Successful candidates will find their placement information along with a link to view and download their admission letters. It is important to print this letter, as it is required for the registration process at the institution.

KUCCPS encourages applicants to regularly check the portal for updates regarding their placement status.

Additionally, students who have applied for and received approval for inter-institution transfers will be issued a new admission letter by the receiving institution. These transfer letters can also be accessed through the KUCCPS portal once they are approved.

It’s important to note that applications to medical training colleges, such as KMTC, are still submitted through the KUCCPS portal, even though there is no dedicated platform for these institutions. Transfers may impact your placement at KMTC or any other TVET institution, which will then issue updated admission documents.

Deadlines are crucial for all applicants. For all KUCCPS programs in 2025, including degrees, diplomas, and certificate courses, the final date to download admission letters is April 30, 2025. Failing to download your admission letter by this deadline may hinder your enrollment.

To avoid any delays or mistakes, students should ensure that all information provided during the application process is accurate.

For assistance, KUCCPS support is available through the student portal, official helplines, or at Huduma Centres nationwide.

By following these steps, students can easily download and access their KUCCPS admission letters, setting the stage for their next academic journey.
